Joining GNCA in April of 2025 as Project Manager, Matthew is excited to be contributing to community-centric sustainable development at both local and international levels. With experience working in the refugee and asylum sector in the UK, along with nearly 10 years of anti-poverty and food insecurity work in Toronto, he is a dedicated advocate of systemic change to empower communities, as driven and informed by the communities themselves. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at Working for Change in Toronto, a social enterprise and skills development organization dedicated to employing and empowering people with lived or living experience of mental health challenges, addiction, homelessness and various forms of trauma that create barriers to employment.
With post-graduate education in Human Rights, as well as being an alumnus of the School of Cities’ and University of Toronto’s Leading Social Justice Collective, Matthew brings a strong commitment to social equity and justice in a globalized world.
