GOODS4CAUSES

Our online store showcases unique products from social enterpreneurs in Canada and abroad.

How it all started

Merrycoop, our "merry" cooperative, sells handmade items from communities in 35 countries.

From training to marketing, we support social entrepreneurs every step of the way, so that they turn their craft into life-changing opportunities.

Under the Merrycoop umbrella, each group creates its own social enterprise and they are all community-led. That means they take ownership of their own success and contribute to local needs.

All proceeds from artisans' products go back to them to be reinvested in materials, training, or whatever they need for their business to succeed.

In order to help the cooperatives reach new markets, we started showcasing their work at fundraisers and events here in Canada.

A lot of people were interested in seeing more items, so we started attending markets and, eventually decided to create an online store in 2019! Welcome to Goods4Causes.

Canadian products

From an early stage, we started supporting Canadian social enterprises like Y.O.U., World Tailors, and Skilled Accents. Our 'Partners4Causes', who donate to one of Good Neighbours Canada's campaigns, also began selling under Goods4Causes and driving donations to the charity.

When COVID-19 hit and in-person markets were canceled, we launched the Good4People initiative with funding from the London Community Foundation for immigrants and refugees experiencing higher levels of vulnerability during the pandemic.

This initiative was a way to help vulnerable individuals to participate in the local economy by selling their crafts online. Good4People vendors use our platform free of charge and keep 100% of their sales.

Good4People 2023

This year, we are looking for vendors in Toronto, following our relocation. Besides newcomers (immigrants and refugees), the initiative is being expanded to include LGBTQ+ individuals, Indigenous people, people of colour and people experiencing poverty.

You can sell a variety of sustainable handmade items. At the moment, please note that we are unable to accept applications for food vendors, services, or used items.
