30 YEARS OF LIFE-CHANGING TRANSFORMATIONS
Founded in South Korea and now operating worldwide, Good Neighbours has helped over 8 million people
across the globe since 1991.
In partnership with United Nations agencies, we are a humanitarian organization that believes in empowering people. We are committed to supporting communities through enhancing wellbeing and promoting positive, sustainable change.
GOOD CHANGE FOR THE WORLD
Good Neighbours Canada is a registered charity in Toronto, Ontario, that supports people in need locally and internationally.
Our primary objective is to work closely with the communities we serve, fostering collaboration and understanding. Through a collaborative approach, we strive to develop programs and initiatives that are tailored to address the unique circumstances and requirements of each community.
We have been operating in Canada since 2017, implementing a wide range of inclusive community-based development projects and providing emergency relief.
WHAT WE WORK WITH
Five pillars of wellbeing:
Health | Education | Social enterprise | Water access | Emergency relief
Our mandate is guided by the principles of inclusivity, respect, and dignity. We believe in the inherent value and potential of every
individual, and we are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential. We prioritize the voices and experiences of marginalized groups and actively work to reduce disparities and promote equality.
DID YOU KNOW?
We have General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC).
Besides working with local governments, we cooperate with United Nations agencies, like the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the World Food Programme (WFP). One example is the Zero Hunger Project, implemented in Tanzania and Bangladesh.
