Purdy Natural supports Better Life for Girls with exclusive soap bar
November 27th, 2019

“We do a lot in our city to help our community here at home, in London, Ontario, and we loved being able to do something to help in anyway we can overseas.Being able to supply sanitary products for girls in Uganda is definitely something we wanted to be a part of. Such a small thing for us to do, yet making a massive impact for many is unbelievable and we are so thankful Good Neighbors Canada thought of us to get involved in their initiative.” Rokhsana Purdy , owner of Purdy Natural
Purdy Natural is donating 50% of sales of an artisanal soap bar to Good Neighbors Canada: our very own Better Life for Girls!
The bars can be found at their store and at the pop-up markets we organized to promote Goods4Causes. The soap created exclusively for us is made of pink kaolin clay and a blend of essential oils of peppermint and grapefruit.
The cause
Good Neighbors works in Uganda to educate girls on hygiene, health, and equal rights, so they can keep attending school while on their menstrual periods. We distribute The Good Kit, with sanitary pads, underwear, shorts, and handbooks and they also learn how to make pads.
Purdy’s commitment to helping the community
“You are personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in.”
The quote, shared on Purdy Natural’s Instagram, reflects the owner’s mindset, one of the many things that brought us together.
Rokhsana Purdy started her company in London, Ontario to be a skincare shop that only uses natural ingredients. She likes to be involved in activities that have purpose.
Last August, they kindly donated silent auction items for our benefit concert, Music for Mirpur with our ambassador Chad Price.
Thank you, Roks, for your support!
